The problem
A decade warranty is only as good as the record behind it — clients need the system build, thicknesses, and QC evidence documented, not a promise.
Our approach
Decade-Warranty Documentation
Decade-warranty documentation by Corporate Painters — the recorded system build, verified dry-film thickness, and stage QC evidence that turns a ten-year guarantee into an auditable obligation.
The Challenge
A decade warranty is a serious commitment, and a serious client treats it as a contractual asset rather than a marketing line. The problem is that most painting guarantees are unenforceable: they promise ten years but record nothing about how the finish was actually built, so when a coating fails early there is no way to establish whether it was specified, prepared, and applied as it should have been. A facility manager presented with a warranty certificate and nothing else holds a promise, not protection.
For a bank, a government building, or a multinational HQ, that gap is unacceptable. The warranty has to be backed by a documented record — the system build, the verified film thickness, the surface condition it went onto, and the QC sign-offs through the work — so the obligation can be audited and, if ever needed, enforced.
The Corporate Painters Solution
Corporate Painters issues the decade warranty on top of a documented build, not in place of one. The coating system is specified before work begins — substrate, primer, intermediate, and topcoat selected for the exposure and the asset’s design life — and the warranty is written against that system, not against a colour. Surface preparation is graded and recorded to ISO 8501 so the warranted film sits on a sound, contamination-free substrate. The applied system is built to its specified dry-film thickness, which is what delivers rated durability, and that thickness is verified across the work to ISO 2808 rather than assumed.
The result is a warranty whose terms are traceable to evidence. Every claim the certificate makes — system, thickness, preparation grade, coverage — maps to a record taken during delivery, so the guarantee is an obligation Corporate Painters can stand behind and the client can hold us to.
Documentation & Process Specification
Each warranted commission is handed over with a complete evidence pack: the approved coating-system specification; surface-preparation records graded to ISO 8501; dry-film thickness readings verified to ISO 2808 across the warranted areas; batch records for the materials used; stage QC sign-offs through preparation, primer, and finish; and the warranty certificate itself, cross-referenced to that record. For protective and corrosion-exposed elements the system is specified against ISO 12944 durability classes where the application requires. The client’s facility and audit teams receive a warranty file they can store, audit, and produce — not a single page of assurance.
Typical Engagement Profile
These engagements sit behind any Corporate Painters commission carrying a decade warranty — bank trading floors, multinational HQ interiors, institutional buildings, and heritage corporate restorations — and are coordinated with the client’s facility function and, where relevant, their architect and audit team. The documentation discipline is the same whether the warranty covers a single reception hall or a multi-property estate, run through the project office that has delivered corporate-grade painting in Accra since 1990.
