The Measurements That Make a Finish Verifiable

Dry film thickness — ISO 2808

A coating only delivers its rated durability at its specified dry film thickness. Applied too thin, it does not carry the protection the system was designed for, regardless of product quality. Dry film thickness is measured to ISO 2808, taken across the warranted areas as the build proceeds, so the specified protection is confirmed installed rather than assumed. DFT is the single most important verification on a warranted finish — it is where the protection literally lives.

Surface preparation grade — ISO 8501

The most common cause of early failure is the substrate, not the paint.
