An older banking headquarters in central Accra had been repainted repeatedly over decades with modern impermeable coatings, trapping coastal moisture in its original render and driving cyclical blistering. Corporate Painters began where every restoration should: a documented condition survey of the fabric, coat by coat, before a single system was proposed.
The failing build-up was taken back to a sound substrate, and a breathable, substrate-compatible system was specified to manage moisture rather than trap it — matched to the building’s original lime-based render. The institution’s facilities function received the survey, the specification and the stage-by-stage QC record as one file at handover, so the next maintenance cycle starts from evidence instead of guesswork.
